Home of the PA Group. The original group was started back in the mid 60s in Williamsport PA. I, PA34, have been a member since 1968. I've done some research and no much of the original records are left and most of the original member passed over to the DX conditions in the sky. I have had contact with the founding presidents son and will be receiving some materials he did save that were not lost over the years. So here we are, a tribute to the origonal group.
Welcome to a page that will have something for all, that enjoy the hobby of the 11 meter band radio. From discussion about gear, principles, skip, propagation, ethics, to an interesting contact you may have made. The group is open to local operators through invitation, or contact through this page via email.The email is PA_Net@mail.com. This email is listed in the roster under my PA34 number.
The group will have check-ins Saturday evenings at 7pm (1900hrs), on channel 40 (27.405 mhz.). Feel free to simply check in and out if that is all you have time for, or get involved in asking questions, sharing knowledge, or just shooting the breeze about contacts you have made, or wherever the discussion goes. There is much knowledge and experience to be shared, and friendships to be made. Know that the only dumb question is the one that wasn't asked.
